FISHING FOR FLOWERS

When two little people take over a 50 degree foggy evening at the cove, imaginations become reality and pure entertainment is gifted to all!

Brother and sister, Jacob and Leah are two working models represented by Models Inc. Talent Agency in San Francisco, CA. Recently, they won an Instagram contest I held for a "Sunset Shoot in Sonoma". However, when my assistant, Karin and I selected a special yet quaint location, my creative mind changed directions and a new theme evolved. Nick's Cove, located in Tomales Bay (Marin County) set the scene for our magical shoot, which Jacob named "Fishing for Flowers".

I'm not a big fan on writing an explanation of each creative shoot, because my intentions are to simply allow my photographs to tell the story. I welcome you, my audience to use your imagination while viewing each photo of the gallery and interpret your unique story. (It's like reading a novel and visualizing the plot.) So please take pleasure in this charming photoshoot of siblings, Jacob and Leah! Fair warning: their many personalities will surely have you smiling from ear to ear, sending goosebumps up and down your arms!

KOKUA KAUAI: AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION THAT SUPPORTED THE RECOVERY OF THE HANALEI FLOODING

Earlier this year, the destructive flooding affected parts of the Hawaiian Island of Kaua'i. There were thousands of people who did what they could to support those affected, yet help rebuild the towns of Hanalei and Haena. Being on the mainland, all I could do was offer a couple of creative portrait sessions valued from $375-$500 to an organization called We Love Hanalei. We Love Hanalei held an Instagram auction to raise money to support and rebuild the towns of Hanalei and Haena. And I'm so happy to share that one of portrait sessions which I donated, not only supported the organization, but it was a memorable event for a newly engaged couple...Jessica + Ben!

This engagement session took place on Sunday, July 8th at the iconic Baker Beach in San Francisco. The mile-long beach lies at the foot of rugged cliffs west of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's known for its large waves, panoramic views of the bridge, Marin Headlands and Lands End. I couldn't have asked for a more picturesque sunset hour to photograph this sweet and loving couple! Ho'omaika'i and Congratulations Jessica & Ben! We wish you all the very best in your marriage (and your upcoming wedding on Maui)!
